This is one of Uganda’s smallest national parks that is rich in biodiversity. Located in western Uganda in the Ankole kingdom, shares the most cattle-keepers district areas of kiruhura district, and Nyabushozi county. The park is also located near Mbarara city which is the second biggest city in Uganda after kampala. The park is a savannah woodland barely good for habivores animal or grazers like the buffaloes, topis, elands, water backs, warthogs, bushbacks, zebra, giraffes, hippos, statungas, oribis, duikers, impalas, and many bird species like black headed gonolek, bare faced go away bird, long crested eagle, cisticolas, yellow rumped tinkerbird, African finfoot, rosses turacos, blue breasted kingfisher, woodland kingfisher, sinning blue kingfisher, malachite kingfisher, pied king fisher, blue headed coucal, white browd coucal,blsck billed bustard, papyrus yellow warbler, African wattled lapwing, water thicknee, frankolins, helmeted gunea fowl,red faced berbet, blue breasted roller, lapet faced vulture, African wattled lapwing, black kite, African snake eagles, goshoks, lizard buzzard and many others. The park also has animals like leopards, hyners, serval cats, baboons, vervet monkeys and many other animals.
Lake mburo national park was established in 1933 as a controlled hunting ground and later in 1963 is was upgraded to a game reserve and finally upgraded to a national park in 1983.

Depending on your area of pick up, you will be picked up by our company representative at 500am who will descend you to southwestern Uganda, pass at the equator where you will stop. Take photos and have an equator experience. Later proceed to the park, thus expecting to enter at 900am. Start our game drive deep inside the park, and look for animals like the zebras, impalas, elands, topis, buffaloes, giraffes, bushbacks, bush pigs, warthogs, water backs, vervet monkeys, baboons and hippos. After the game drive, we go for lunch at the lake restaurant and later go for a boat ride. Here we exprct to see animals like hippos, crocodiles, most of the above mentioned animals that come to drink water. See water birds like the African fish eagles, malachite king fishers, pied king fishers, water thicknees, kitliziz plovers, marsh sand pipers, different types of cisticolas, and many other.
After all the activities, we travel back to our destination or to the airport for a safe fly back home
2 Day travel to Lake Mburo National Park
Day 1, Wake up in the morning after breakfast, and start our day to south western Uganda. Stop at the equator to take photos and have an equator experience of ant clockwise and clockwise direction experience, all the scientific and historical stories of the equator.
Later we proceed to the park where we expect to be at the park entrance as early for the game drive. Here you expect to see animals grazing and socializing in their normal life. Animals to be seen are giraffes, topis, buffaloes, zebras, elands, water backs, warthogs, bush backs, impalas, and elands. Later, we can have a boat to the Lake Mburo which will help to see crocodiles, monitor lizards, hippos, and many more animals mentioned above. See many birds like the black crake, herones, little and greater egrets, cormorants, datars, African fish eagles and king fishers. Stay at rwakobo rock, Eagles nest, mihingo loge, Hyner Hill Lodge or kigambira.
Day 2, wake up in the morning after breakfast, and go for a morning nature walk. Here you will gate a chance to walk in the savannah woodland and have the spirit and feel of nature by waking clause with these animals. Animals expected to be seen are buffaloes, zebras, topis, elands, impalas, and many others. After the walk, we start our day back to Kampala
3 Days wildlife/game viewing Lake Mburo National Park
Day 1, Wake up at 6:00 am to the closest park to kampala. This drive will take you around 4 hours and we expect to reach early for relaxing at the lodge. Have lunch and later proceed to the park for an evening game drive. We expect to see animals like the zebras, giraffes, topis, eland, impalas, bush backs, waterbacks, warthogs, buffaloes, loepards, hyners, vervet monkeys, baboons and many others. We also expect to see birds like the tchagras, rupells long tailed starlings, weavers, long crasted eagle, hawks, guinea fowls, hornbills,canaries, Egyptian goose, plover, and many others. Stay at eagles nest lodge, kigambira, rwakobo rock, hyner hill lodge,
Day 2, wake up for breakfast and later assemble at the park head quotars for a nature walk. Here you will have a briefing by your site guide who will take you down the deep into the savannah woodland to look for animals on foot like the giraffes, buffaloes, zebras, water backs, warthogs, Impalas, elands, bush pigs and many other animals.
After we come back at our lodge for lunch and relation, later we shall go ck for an afternoon boat ride. Here you expect to see animals like the hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, buffaloes, bushbacks, topis, and many other animals that we might have seen during our walk that come to drink water. The lake is full of water birds like the cormorant, herones, yellow billed stalk, knob billed ducks, Egyptian goose, African water thicknee, African wattled lapwings, marsh sandpiper, overcet, black crake, black winged stilt, African fish eagle, malachite kingfisher, pied king fisher and many other birds.
Come back at our lodge for dinner and overnight
