Serengeti National Park is 14,763 sq. km hosts all the Big 5 game and is also one of the best places to visit to witness the Great Migration. Serengeti is home to lions, leopards, cheetahs, rhinos, giraffes, zebras, over 2 million wildebeest, elephants, spotted hyenas, wild dogs, and over 500 species of birds, etc.

Tarangire National Park is listed as the 6th largest Tanzania National Park with the land area coverage of 2600 sq. km. Tarangire is credited for its huge concentration of African elephants, baobab trees, and is also a great birding destination.

Ngorongoro Conservation Area (NCA) is home to the spectacular Ngorongoro Crater –one of the world’s natural wonders. NCA boasts of breathtaking landscape characterized by savannas, highland plains, savanna woodlands, and lush forests. It is a designated UNESCO World Heritage Site and home to all the Big 5 game members –elephants, rhinos, lions, buffaloes, and leopards.

Day 1: Pick up & Drive up to Tarangire

At the comfort of your hotel in Arusha, you will be offered a hefty breakfast and later, meet your safari expert. Get briefed about your vacation then set off for the 3 hours’ drive journey to the Tarangire National Park which is found in the Southern end of Lake Manyara National Park.

Arrive at the Tarangire early for you to check in your safari lodge and to have lunch at leisure. In the afternoon, be ready for a guided game drive to witness the endowment and beauty that lies in the Tarangire National Park. At Tarangire, expect to enjoy sights of different wildlife such as impalas, waterbucks, cheetahs, hartebeests, giraffes, lions, elands, buffaloes, zebras, and mongoose.

Tarangire also holds a great share of bird species totaling up to 500. Diversity of avifaunal species will be spotted including the ostriches, flycatchers, coucals, ducks, and more. After the game drive, you will get back to have a relaxed stay at the safari lodge.

Day 2: Drive to Serengeti National Park

Expect to depart from Tarangire for Serengeti National Park a journey that is likely to take you between 4 and 5 hours. En route, there will be a stopover at Olduvai Gorge and later, you will have a lunch break. After lunch, proceed up to the Serengeti National Park home to the Great Migration and all the Big 5.
