Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Transfer from Nairobi to Masai Mara Reserve

At the comfort of your hotel or guesthouse in the Nairobi capital, start the day with a delicious breakfast. After breakfast, meet and greet your safari expert. Have a short briefing about the 7-day Kenya tour to Masai Mara, Nakuru, and Amboseli. After you have been briefed, expect to set off for Masai Mara National Reserve located in Narok County, Southwestern Kenya.

Driving from Nairobi to Masai Mara takes about 5-6 hours and expect to enjoy the breathtaking Rift Valley escarpments. Arrive at the Masai Mara early for you to check in your pre-booked accommodation facilities. You may opt for the late afternoon game drive or remain to relax at the lodge.

Day 2: Enjoy a Full day game viewing excursion in Masai Mara

A full-day game viewing through the Maasai Mara National Reserve will start with an early morning breakfast. The morning game drive session takes you on the search for interesting wildlife with a focus on spotting the early morning risers. The afternoon game drive session resumes after the picnic lunch.

The beauty of a guided game drive in Masai Mara is that visitors have a chance to encounter a range of wildlife. The diverse wild animals to encounter in Masai Mara Reserve include African elephants, cape buffaloes, lions, leopards, rhinos, hyenas, jackals, bat-eared foxes, giraffes, zebras, and more.

If your tour happens to fall around the Migration season (July to October), then expect to be amazed by millions of wildebeest along with other grazers. Later in the evening when you return to the lodge, you will have a leisurely moment at the lodge plus dinner.

Day 3: Another day in Masai Mara

At leisure enjoy a hefty breakfast and after, you will depart the lodge for another rewarding game viewing. This will include the morning hot air balloon safari for you to enjoy aerial views of wildlife. The balloon excursion will include a bush breakfast. In the afternoon, you will get back to the wilderness on a game drive to see more wildlife.

Day 4: Leave Masai Mara for Lake Nakuru

Get up early for you to enjoy your breakfast at leisure. After, ensure that you have all your luggage ready to be packed in the safari car. Today, you will be connecting up to Lake Nakuru National Park, a birder’s paradise.

Arrive at Lake Nakuru National Park early for you to check in your accommodation. Enjoy lunch and after, have some time to relax before you take the afternoon game drive. On a game drive, expect to see rhinos, elands, lions, giraffes, and a myriad of birds.

Day 5: Game Drive in Lake Nakuru & Depart for Amboseli

Proceed to Amboseli National Park for you to check in your accommodation options for relaxation.
