6 Days Uganda Safari
On our 6-day Uganda safari, you will get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to explore some of the country’s crème de la crème National Parks. Start with Kibale National Park for chimpanzee tracking and an unforgettable birding experience. Proceed to the beautiful Queen Elizabeth National Park for both land (game drive) and water (launch cruise) adventure where you will be introduced to huge herds of Cape buffaloes, African bush elephants, Uganda Kobs, Defassa waterbucks, and many other incredible wildlife species. This short trip will climax with a face-to-face encounter with the mountain gorillas in their natural habitat- Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Brief Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup from Hotel, and transfer to Kibale National Park.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking, scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 3: Lion tracking and afternoon Boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park.
Day 4: Ishasha tree climbing lions; Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.
Day 5: Mountain Gorilla tracking, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi.
Day 6: Canoeing and scenic drive back to Entebbe for departure.
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pickup from Hotel, and transfer to Kibale National Park
Early morning, you will have breakfast and head out to Kibale Forest National Park in western Uganda, via Fort Portal. This 6-hour scenic drive provides breathtaking views of rolling hills, verdant Valleys, and forests along the way. This biological hot spot is a haven for over 75 mammal species including 13 primate species (such as chimpanzees, grey-cheeked mangabey, L’Hoests monkeys, blue monkeys, red-tailed monkeys, Pottos, Vervet monkeys, and bush babies among others).
Lunch in Fort Portal Town and later continue to Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary to explore some of the 200 bird species and 8 primate species that call it home. Marked by wooden boardwalks, visitors can walk through the Wetland Sanctuary in
the company of a local guide and enjoy sights of primates, birds, and tree species.

- Kibale Safari Lodge or Kibale Forest Camp (budget).
Meal Plan: Lunch and Dinner.
Travel time: 6-7 hours.
Activities: Guided walk through Bigodi Wetland Sanctuary.
Day 2: Chimpanzee tracking, scenic drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Enjoy breakfast and head to Kanyanchu Visitor Center for briefing, and later start tracking the endangered chimpanzees in the wild. These interesting creatures are interesting to watch as they groom each other, play, feed, rest, or mate. You will have one hour to watch and take photos before returning to the Lodge. The entire process will last 2-4 hours, and later pack your bags, have an early lunch, and check out of the Lodge before starting your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park.
You will arrive at your Lodge, in/outside Queen Elizabeth National Park in time for dinner and overnight.

Day 3: Lion tracking and afternoon Boat cruise in Queen Elizabeth National Park
This day, you will enjoy a cup of tea/coffee and continue into Queen Elizabeth National Park for an experiential adventure- lion tracking where you will go through the game tracks (sometimes even drive off-tracks) to watch lion prides that prey on Uganda Kob prides on the savannah plains. You will see several elephants, buffaloes, Hippos, and other animals while on this activity. Have a lunch break siesta, and wait for your afternoon adventure.
In the afternoon, hop on the Land Cruiser for a transfer to Mweya peninsula for the start of the Launch cruise on Kazinga Channel. You will have 2 hours watching Hippos, Nile crocodiles, and lots of birds (that include Pelicans, African Skimmers, and others).

Day 4: Ishasha tree climbing lions; Transfer to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park
On this day, you will make your way from Northern Queen Elizabeth National Park to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park via the Ishasha sector (in the southern sector). The transfer is about 3-4 hours with a game drive through the Ishasha sector, known for its tree-climbing lion population.
Continue to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park with a stop at Savannah Resort Kihihi for lunch, arriving Buhoma later afternoon.

- Volcanoes Bwindi Lodge or Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Lodge (luxury).
- Engagi Lodge (midrange).
- Ride 4 a woman Lodge (Budget).
Meal Plan: Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner.
Activities: Ishasha game drive.
Day 5: Mountain Gorilla tracking, and transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
Arise and shine, and head to the Park Headquarters for briefing on the guidelines on what to be followed during gorilla trekking and spending time with the Giant Apes. You will have 1-4 hours to search for these creatures in the jungle-like forest in the company of armed Rangers and guides, and spend one hour watching and taking photos of mountain gorillas as they go about their daily routines.
In the afternoon, you will leave for Lake Bunyonyi and this transfer lasts 4 hours with lots of breathtaking views along the way.

Day 6: Canoeing and scenic drive back to Entebbe for departure
Have breakfast and get the chance to slide on a dugout canoe over Lake Bunyonyi’s surface to explore some of the Islands, birds, and surrounding rolling hills.
Later, pack your bags and drive back to Entebbe, arriving in time for your departure flight. On the way, you will stop for a mouth-watering lunch, photo opportunity at Equator and proceed to the Airport.
