Road Safety
Road conditions in Uganda differ depending on which part of the country you are visiting. Avoid nighttime travel especially deep in villages. Also, be cautious when using public means of transport in areas you are not familiar with. If possible use private transport services which are more reliable
Vaccinations:
Make sure you consult your doctor or a travel health clinic well in advance of your trip to ensure you have the necessary vaccinations. Yellow fever vaccination is often required. Also carry malaria repellants and medication since Malaria is a deadly disease in Uganda

Language Spoken
English is the official language, but Luganda is widely spoken in central Uganda. Learning a few basic Luganda / any other local language phrases is highly recommended.
