14 Days Uganda Honeymoon Safari
This 14 days Uganda honeymoon safari is a combined trip of wildlife, nature tracking, off-the-beats and a lot of nature relaxation. You will travel through parks like lake mburo national park, Bunyonyi Overland Lake, Golden Monkey Tracking, Queen Elizabeth National Park, Bwindi National Park for gorilla tracking, kibale national park as well as Murchison Falls National Park.
Here it involves horse rides in the park, different walks in savannah parks, lion tracking, chimpanzees and gorilla tracking, local food preparation and eating, different picnics on crater lakes and other isolated areas, bush breakfasts and many more
Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up & Transfer to Lake Mburo National Park
Upon your arrival time, you will be picked up by the company representative who will drive you to southwestern Uganda to Lake Mburo National Park. Stop by the equator where you will stop to take photos and videos as well as have an equator experience. After you will continue through the green lushes of people’s homes, gardens and farms until you reach. This journey will take you half a day expecting to reach around lunch time at the hotel. Stay at Mihingo lodge, Rwakobo rock, Eagles nest, or Mpogo lodge. Have lunch and after in the evening we shall have a horse ride in the park. This will help us getting closer to animals while they are un aware
Here we will see animals like the giraffes, Zebras, African cape buffaloes, Kobs, Warter backs, warthogs, Zebras, Hippos in the pools, Topis, impalas, elands, vervet monkeys, Olive baboons and many more others. Later we shall come back at our lodge for dinner and overnight.
Day 2: Nature Walk & Boat Riding
After an early breakfast we shall have a nature walk/game drive with in the park as we expect the same animals like we saw during our previous horse ride. besides this will also help us see animals that we might have missed during our horse ride. after we shall proceed to bunyonyi over lake. Stay at Arcadia cottages, bunyonyi overland or bird nest. In the evening relax while having a boat ride on the lake. On the lake we shall visit different islands like the small island, and the big islands. These islands include some that have schools, hospital, churches, as well as small and medium islands that possess or have households on them while others have people’s farmlands and gardens.
Day 3: Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National park
Here we shall move to Mgahinga National Park in Kisoro for golden monkey tracking. Reaching late in the afternoon, stay at icumbi lodge. Here we shall have lunch dinner and relaxing
Day 4: Golden Monkey trekking
We shall start our day while assembling at the park headquarter ready to start our day while entering the park to search for these animals. This park neighbors Volcanoes National Park
in Rwanda and Virunga National Park in the Democratic Republic of Congo. It harbors animals like the African elephants, Buffaloes as well as Mountain gorillas. Due to its elevation and covering the 3 volcanoes of Mount Mgahinga, Mount Gahinga, and Mount Sabinyo, the place has many bird species and is the best area for bird watchers.
The tracking will take you half a day thus expect to come back early and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Stay at Gorilla leisure lodge, 4 gorilla safari lodge, dorotia safari lodge. Icumbi lodge
Day 5: Golden Monkey Trekking
Have early breakfast in the morning and thus drive to the park headquarters/ office where we shall assemble with other people from different countries all ready for the tracking. Here you will register yourself while enjoying the entertainment from the local women dancing and after have a general briefing of the park and the gorilla tracking. After we will be separated into different small groups of not more than 8 people for tracking. You will be allocated to a gorilla family and a guide who will also introduce you to 2-armed ranger that will give you security while scare shooting aggressive animals just in case you encounter some of them. These aggressive animals are forest elephants, buffaloes, non-habituated chimpanzees and non-habituated gorillas as well. The tracking takes full day depending on the location of these animals and we expect to move with our parked lunch.

Day 6: Visit Batwa pygmies & transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park
Wake up in the morning and visit the Batwa /pigmy people. These are people who used to live in the forest and were just brought down in 1991. These people were just brought down to make sure that there is proper conservation of animals and others wildlife species as they lived on hunting animals, gathering honey as well collecting herbal medicine to treat themselves. However, by bringing them down or out from the forest make them get proper education, good health activities and many others. After you will proceed with your journey to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Stay at Twin Lake safari lodge, Enganzi lodge. Upon reaching, we shall have a picnic at the Twin lakes of Katinda and mirambi. Here we shall have some coffee/tea, take some soft drinks, bears.
Day 7: Lion Tracking Experience & Launch Cruise
In the morning for breakfast and after drive to the park gate ready for the lion tracking experience. Here we shall visit different prides of lions and leopards. Queen Elizabeth National Park is Uganda’s second biggest national park that possesses 97 species of animals including animals like hippopotamuses, Buffaloes, African elephants, hyenas, water backs, warthogs, Kobs, bush pigs, bush backs, aardvarks, civet cats, serval cats, hairs, squirrels, mongoose, hyraxes, vervet monkeys, olive baboons, black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys and many other animals. Come back for lunch at our lodge and after we go for a boat ride. the boat ride is done on the channel which is a large water body that connect the 2 lakes of Lake Edward and Lake George. Here we expect to see animals like the hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards and many of the above-mentioned animals that come to drink water during the hot weather of the day

Day 8: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park & Community Tours
Day 8, wake up in the morning and transfer to kibale forest national park. Here the distance will take us half a day as the distance is very close. after reaching, we shall have lunch and relax for at the hotel and later we proceed for a community visit. This we shall visit the banana man who will take you through the formation of the banana processing of banana gin, banana juice, and banana bear. After we shall visit the coffee queen, she will take us the whole process of coffee planting in the coffee plantations, drying and cupping. Later we shall go for the community women dancers, these will dance for us traditionally, and help to show us how they do weaving and later show us there art facts.
Come back at our lodge for dinner and overnight
Day 9: Chimpanzee Trekking
After a morning breakfast, we shall assemble at the park headquarters for briefing about the chimpanzee tracking. After the general briefing, we shall again be separated to small groups of not more than 9 people par group. This will be introduced to your ranger guide who will again introduce to the 2-armed people who will help you to provide security against aggressive animals like the forest elephants, buffaloes, and none habituated chimpanzees. Here you will take half a day looking for these animals. Later after meeting these animals, you will spend 1 hour with them and you will later after an hour with them, you will take photos, videos as well as having full information about these animals as well as their surrounding environment. Come back at the hotel for lunch
Optional activity: here you will have a traditional food activity, where you will prepare any traditional food of your choice most especially comprised of matoke/green banana
Day 10: Transfer to Murchison Falls Park
Day 10, after morning breakfast, we shall proceed to Murchison Falls National Park. Here we shall pass through big tea plantations, that provide a stunning scenic view of the area, pass through the different gardens and big farm estates of sugar plantations and many other tourist attractions.
Up through the Biiso escapements to the great Albertine rift valley while viewing the beautiful view of lake Albert. Passing through Bugungu gate, enter the park and stay at Pakuba Safari Lodge, fort Murchison Falls
Day 11: Game Viewing & Launch cruise
After breakfast, we shall have a game drive into the famous Uganda’s biggest national park. The park is separated by a Nile River leaving the southern part with forest and woodland thick vegetation and the northern part being a savannah. In the northern part where we expect to see animals like the hyenas, lions, leopards, jackals, African cape buffaloes, African elephants, Kobs, Topis, Oribis, Jackson’s heart beast, bush backs, water backs, warthogs, bush pigs, and many others.
Come back at the lodge for lunch as we prepare for a boat ride. during the boat ride we expect to see animals like the hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, and many animals that come to drink water during the hot weather of the day.
Day 12: Explore Top of the Falls, & transfer to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary
Wake up in the morning for breakfast and proceed to Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. Here we shall go through the top of the falls, we expect to have a magnificent view Nile waterfalls that force its self into a narrow gap and fall into a 45-meter cliff providing a good attractive stunning view of the waterfalls. After we proceed to the sanctuary. Stay at Amuka safari lodge, Ziwa rhino sanctuary
Day 13: Rhino Tracking
Here you will wake up in the morning, have breakfast and later you have /go for the rhino tracking. The tracking takes a few hours and you have enough time to enjoy your time relax at the lodge
Day 14: Departure
Depart back at our lodge for dinner and over night
