Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up & transfer to the Hotel

Day 1, upon your arrival at the airport, you will be met by our company representative who will brief you about your tour and the general tourism about Uganda and later drive you to your lodge. Stay at cassia lodge, karibu restuearant, papyus, boma hotel

Day 2: Rhino Tracking &transfer to Murchison Falls Park

You will drive northwest of the country after breakfast. Here you will stop at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary for the white Rhino tracking. This sanctuary is 70kkm sq, here is the breeding zone for the white rhinos and thus the Uganda government is embacking on restoration of rhinos in the country. The rhinos in the sanctuary are over 40 in number and thus the government has a target to make sure it can make 50 rhinos and thus be taken to an area like Murchison falls national park, where they used to stay. The sanctuary also harbors other animals like the Roth’s child giraffes, plain Zebras, Uganda Kobs, bush back, warthogs, and many more. After we proceed to Murchison falls national park. Enter through the southern gate through the top of the falls/ this will help you have a magnificent view of the Nile water facing its self in a narrow gap roaring down into a 45meters cliff/ this makes serious rapids that signifies how God created this world. After the view, continue to the our lodge that you will stay for an overnight

Day 3: Game viewing & Launch cruise

After an early breakfast at the lodge, we shall ascend deep in uganda’s biggest national park/Murchison Falls National Park, here we expect to see animals like the patas monkeys, African elephants, African cape buffaloes, lions, leopards. Waterbacks, bushbacks, warthogs, Uganda kobs, hyeners, Roth’s child giraffes and many more animals. We also expect to see burds like the abssynian ground hornbill, African cape horniblls, different types of weaver birds, palm nut vulture, white browed caucals, spur winged lapwings, scaley fronkolines, lilac breasted rollars, little bee eaters and many more

Come back for lunch and later we go for boat cruise on the Nile. Here you expect to view different schools of hippos, the above-mentioned animals seen on the game drive that come to drink water

Come back at our accommodation for dinner and overnight

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest Park

After a morning breakfast, we continue to Kibale forest national park. The distance will cover or take you around 6-hour drive where we expect to pass through different vegetational sceneries, of the bugungu flat lands that represent the Albertine rift valley to the Biiso uplands, all this represents the formation of the great rift valley. Continue to different sceneries of the tea plantations and sugar plantations, where your guide will educate you or inform you how different tea are made/processed in Uganda. Reaching the forest in the evening stay at chimpundu, Primate Safari Lodge, guereza safari lodge, Kibale Guest Cottages

Day 5: Chimpanzee Trekking & Bigodi Wetland Walk

Have breakfast at our lodge and assemble at the park headquarters for chimpanzee tracking. Upon your briefing, you will be separated into different small groups of not more than 9 people and allocated to your ranger guide which will also allocate you with 2 armed personals. These helps in scare shooting of aggressive animals that you might encounter and these include none habituated chimpanzees, African elephants, African cape buffaloes that inhabit the forest.

Upon reaching the habituated chimpanzees, you will follow the guidelines of these animals who will allow you take photos, videos and have more explanations about these animals as well as the history of the park.

Come back for lunch and later go for the swamp walk, in the swamp, expect to see different types of monkeys like the black and white colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, red colobus monkeys, red tailed monkeys, olive baboons, sitatungas and many more

If time allows, you will have a community visit where we expect to visit the banana man that will teach / show you how he makes banana juice, banana bear, and banana gin, visit the coffee queen who will take you all through coffee plantations all through to the cupping, women weaving and dancing

Later we shall come back to our lodge for dinner and overnight

Day 6: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth & Afternoon Launch Cruise

Wake up in the morning and travel to Queen Elizabeth National Park. This distance will take you around 4 hours, expect to reaching in the afternoon for lunch,

After lunch, you will go have a boat ride on Kazinga channel which connects the 2 lakes of lake Edwards and Lake George. On the boat you expect to see animals like the hippos, crocodiles, monitor lizards, and many more animals like the African cape buffaloes, African elephants, olive baboons, water backs, warthogs and many others that come to drink water. Stay at twinlake safari lodge, elephants plains, park view safari lodge and many more.

Day 7: Lion Tracking Experience

Wake up very early in the morning and start our day with the lion tracking experience. Here you will be able to see different prides of lions, leopards.

Here you will be able to see other animals like the buffaloes, elephants, water backs, warthogs, Uganda kobs, bush backs and many more. Come back at the lodge for relaxation dinner and overnight

Day 8: Transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park

Wake up in the morning and transfer to Bwindi impenetrable national park. Stay at buhoma have lodge, buhoma lodge, 4 gorilla lodge, gorilla leisure. This journey will take you through the famous kigezi region that is more scenic and covered with beautiful terraces that covers the southern rolling hills of Uganda. The journey will take around 5-6 hours until you reach expecting to have lunch at the lodge.

Day 9: Mountain gorilla trekking

After breakfast, assemble at the park headquarters ready for the tracking. Here you will have a general briefing about the park, have the historical back ground of the park, animals, birds, and all the natural future. After you will be made in small groups of not more than 8 people and after you will be introduced to some armed rangers that will help to protect you while in the jungle against aggressive animals like the buffaloes and elephants that live in the forest. The chimpanzees, and non-habituated gorillas in the field. This is done by scare shooting thus scaring away those animals thus making the tracking very easy for you. Upon reaching, your guide will allow you to take photos, videos, and give full information about these giant animals. After come back from the forest as this may take half a day, or full day depending on the location of these animals, thus you will have moved with packed lunch which you will have while in the forest.

Day 10: Batwa Community Tours & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Day 10, we shall start our day by visiting the pigmy/ Batwa. These are believed or they are short people in size that used to inhabit the Virunga conservation area that covers mgahinga national park in Uganda, park national de’ volcanoes in republic of Rwanda, Virunga national park of Democratic republic of Congo, Bwindi national park in Uganda and Rwenzori mountains national park in Uganda. These people were brought down from forests in 1991 with the help of the government and other non-government organizations since they used to hunt, poach animals for food, herbals for medicines, and gather wood for fire wood and wild honey from bees. However, they lacked education, good health care and many other government social services. However by meeting these people, they will dance for you, see how they make fire, the way they live, do different art facts and many others. After the activity, we shall proceed to lake bunyonyi and stay at bunyonyi overland resort, Bird Nest Resort, Arcadia Cottages

Day 11: Explore Lake Bunyonyi

We shall have a boat ride at Lake Bunyonyi. This is Uganda’s deepest lake and the third deepest lake in the whole world. This lake has 29 island and it is a lava dammed lake which makes it unique and more scenic, these islands are in different sizes that some have schools, hospitals, and churches. The island includes the smallest island that all these have there historical back ground, and later we come back, to our vehicles and drive to our next destination/lake mburo national park

Day 12: Departure

Today we shall wake up in the morning for a nature walk in the park, this will help us see animals like Roth’s child giraffe, African cape buffaloes, eland, impalas, water back, warthogs, bush backs, Topis, leopards and many others
